Where I've Been, Where I'm Going

Hello, my friends!

It’s been a minute, I know.

Some major life things have happened in the last 8 months:

  • I started a new job (that I absolutely love)

  • I bought a giant faux-fur coat that I wore approximately twice

  • Lauren graduated from college (!!!)

  • I visited Las Vegas twice in one month (once for work and once with family)

  • Lauren and I planned a bridal shower and a bachelorette party for the first time (#justMOHthings)

  • Madison got married (!!!)

  • I found out I got approved for a breast reduction surgery through insurance (more on that later)

  • I decided to move in with a friend whose parents are buying a house in Nashville (more pics to come!)

  • I started using a few new makeup, skincare, and hair things that have really rocked my world (insert influencer quote about how something is life-changing here)

So, yeah, you could say things have been a little wild. But that’s life, isn’t it? And of course, it wouldn’t be reality if each item didn’t have its own set of nuances and quirks and complications. For example, I decided to make a switch to natural deodorant (Rosy Pits from Megababe) on a whim recently, which would seem pretty simple on the surface except for the fact that I keep getting these itchy rash-like patches from time to time. I’ve heard that it can sometimes take a detox period for natural deodorants to really do their job?? But it’s just one of those things that makes me think nothing’s ever as easy or straightforward as it seems. (Seriously, if anyone has any experience with this, hit a girl up.)

But I’m not complaining.

Life’s quirks are what give it color, after all.

So where have I been? In the midst of a semi-tumultuous season of life, but the waters should start to calm soon.

And where am I going? Nowhere but up.

(PS here are a few pics from the last several months, just in case you missed them. You’re welcome.)

No, I’m not going into the bail bonds business. But this billboard is so ridiculous, I feel like it’s a pretty adequate summary of how my life has felt for the past several months.
